Gastroenterology and endoscopy

Maria Francesca Jaboli

I am a medical surgeon specializing in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy, with more than 24 years of clinical experience gained in Italy and the United Kingdom, where I worked for ten years; I also perform clinical work in English.
I graduated in Medicine from the University of Bologna and completed my residency with highest honors, completing advanced masters in digestive endoscopy and numerous courses in clinical nutrition.
I focus on functional gastroenterology, celiac disease, food intolerances, gastroesophageal reflux disease, metabolic syndrome, eating disorders, malabsorption, chronic inflammatory bowel disease, and ultrasonography of the upper abdomen, which I perform as a diagnostic adjunct. I devote special attention to the gut microbiota and nutrition, collaborating with the Longo Foundation on issues of longevity nutrition.
I address nutrition as a lifestyle and not as a “diet,” with the goal of rebalancing metabolism and microbiota.
I apply hydrocolon therapy in selected pathologies.
I am the author of scientific and popular publications and the volume From Weaning to Vegetable Lasagna. I participated in the podcast “Evacuations,” which came second best podcast in Italy in the Health category and third in Wellness.
Areas of professional interest: clinical nutrition, menopause, gut-brain axis and gut-genitourinary system, functional medicine.
