Redlight + Hydrogen Combo

Combined Photobiomodulation and Molecular Hydrogen Therapy Program

The Combo Redlight + Hydrogen program integrates two of the most advanced technologies available in the clinic in a single therapeutic session: inhalation therapy with molecular hydrogen (H2) and full-body photobiomodulation with red and infrared light. This synergistic combination acts simultaneously at the mitochondrial, cellular, and tissue levels, amplifying the benefits of each individual treatment and offering a comprehensive approach to longevity, oxidative stress reduction, and functional recovery.

Molecular hydrogen, due to its ability to cross cell membranes and the blood-brain barrier, neutralizes the most aggressive free radicals directly in the mitochondria, enhancing ATP production. Synergistically, the red and infrared light of photobiomodulation further stimulate mitochondrial cytochromes, increasing cellular energy production and promoting tissue regeneration. The combined effect of the two treatments is greater than the sum of the individual benefits, making it one of the most innovative therapeutic proposals in longevity medicine.

Program Goals.

  • Oxidative stress reduction: neutralization of free radicals by H2 and endogenous antioxidant activation by photobiomodulation.
  • Optimization of mitochondrial function: increased ATP production through the combined action of molecular hydrogen and red/NIR light.
  • Reduction of systemic and chronic inflammation, with benefits for conditions such as arthritis, COPD, and metabolic diseases.
  • Neuroprotective support: preventing neuronal damage and reducing the risk of neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s).
  • Cardiovascular improvement: reduction of endothelial inflammation, improvement of vascular function, and prevention of atherosclerosis.
  • Tissue regeneration and collagen stimulation, with positive effects on skin and joint health.
  • Vitamin D production through the UVB component (Mercurius device), essential for immune system and bone health.
  • Accelerated physical recovery: reduction of muscle fatigue and post-workout inflammation, ideal for athletes and active people.

Technologies Used

3.1 Inhalation Therapy with Molecular Hydrogen (H2)
Molecular hydrogen is administered via nasal cannulae during the session. Due to its small molecular size, it rapidly penetrates the bloodstream, reaches the mitochondria, and crosses the blood-brain barrier. It acts as a selective antioxidant, neutralizing only the most harmful free radicals (OH- and ONOO-) without interfering with reactive oxygen species with physiological activity.

3.2 Full Body Bio-Photomodulation (LedPro + Mercurius)
The photobiomodulation component makes use of two complementary devices: the LedPro Lounger, which emits cool LED light in the wavelengths of red (600-700 nm) and near-infrared (800-1200 nm), stimulating cell regeneration and muscle relaxation; and the Mercurius device, which integrates warm red light and UVB rays for a more penetrating action on deep tissues and skin vitamin D synthesis.

Benefits for the Patient

  • Therapeutic synergy: combined action enhances results compared with single treatments, with amplified benefits at the mitochondrial and cellular levels.
  • Noninvasive approach: Both technologies are completely noninvasive, painless, and free of documented side effects.
  • Efficient sessions: the two therapies are administered simultaneously in the same session of about 60 minutes, optimizing the patient’s time.
  • Measurable results: monitoring with Redox Test and HRV system enables objective quantification of progress over the course of the program.
  • Customization: the program is tailored to the specific needs of the patient on the recommendation of the Longevity Doctor.

Specialized Medical Team

The program is designed and supervised by SoLongevity’s Longevity Doctor, who performs the initial patient assessment and defines the personalized treatment plan. The clinic’s qualified health care staff manages each session, monitors physiological parameters, and adjusts the protocol according to individual progress. A clinical assessment is scheduled prior to the start of the program, which may include performing one of the diagnostic modules offered by the center, in order to establish a functional baseline and measure the effectiveness of the treatment over time.

Program Structure

The program involves 12 combined sessions spread over a period of 3 or 5 weeks depending on the patient’s needs. Each session can be structured in two modalities, at the discretion of the clinical staff and patient preference:

Mode A – Simultaneous Sitting (30 minutes)

The most efficient and synergistic modality: the patient simultaneously performs molecular hydrogen inhalation therapy (via nasal cannulae) and full-body photobiomodulation on the LedPro Lounger or with the Mercurius device. The two technologies act in parallel on the mitochondria, maximizing cellular energy enhancement and antioxidant effect in a single session of about 30 minutes.

Mode B – Sequence Seating (approximately 60 minutes)

  1. First phase-Molecular Hydrogen Therapy (30 minutes): The patient inhales molecular hydrogen through nasal cannulae in a relaxed position. No physical exertion is required. H2 rapidly enters the bloodstream and reaches the target tissues.
  2. Second phase – Full Body Bio-Photomodulation (30 minutes): the patient positions himself on the LedPro Bed for LED cold light photostimulation, followed by the session with the Mercurius device for warm red light and UVB.

The clinical staff will indicate the most suitable modality based on the individual treatment protocol and the patient’s condition at each session.

Monitoring and Customization

The program includes a structured monitoring system to objectively measure treatment effectiveness:

  • Redox test: Evaluation of cellular oxidative status and antioxidant capacity, performed at the beginning and end of the program.
  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV) system: Monitoring the impact on the neuro-vegetative system and sympathetic/parasympathetic balance.

Longevity Doctor consultation: Monthly evaluation with update of treatment plan based on detected progress.

Methods of Access and Timing

The program can be booked:

  • Online through the clinic’s booking portal
  • By phone by contacting SoLongevity’s voicemail.
  • In person at the clinic, after consultation with the Longevity Doctor

A prior medical evaluation is recommended, preferably after completing one of the diagnostic modules offered by the center. The program is initiated on the recommendation of the Longevity Doctor, and the 15 sessions are spread over 3 to 5 weeks depending on the availability and clinical needs of the patient.

Preliminary Recommendations

  1. Medical Consultation: A consultation with the Longevity Doctor is mandatory prior to the start of the program, especially for patients with respiratory, neurodegenerative, cardiological or chronic diseases.
  2. Hydration: Maintain good hydration in the hours before each session to promote hydrogen distribution in the body and optimize the photobiomodulation response.
  3. Nutrition: Avoid large meals in the 2 hours before the session.
  4. Abstention from Alcohol and Smoking: It is recommended to avoid alcohol and cigarettes at least 24 hours before the session to maximize antioxidant and photomodulatory effects.
